Taking a few minutes to research before buying can save a lot of money and frustration. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

If you sit in front of a screen for many hours, these small features make a difference. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. I do not trust only the star rating, I like to see detailed photos and longer comments. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things.
Just sharing my personal feedback.
