I've been learning about ecommerce website design (https://printvideoweb.com.au/ecommerce-web-design/) recently and realized that design is not only about how a website looks, but also how it works for customers.
From what I understand, a good ecommerce website should have:
A clean and simple layout so visitors can easily find products
Mobile-friendly design, since most people shop on their phones
Fast loading speed to reduce bounce rate
Easy checkout process to avoid cart abandonment
Basic SEO structure so products can rank in search results
I also noticed that user experience plays a big role in conversions. If navigation is confusing or pages are slow, customers usually leave without buying anything.
For those who already run an online store, what features or design improvements made the biggest difference in your sales or customer engagement?
