Various species of cypress trees are known and each has its distinctive features. Italian Cypress is a well-known tall and column-shaped tree and is commonly used in a Mediterranean landscape. The Leyland Cypress has been utilized in large numbers as a rapid growing privacy hedge whereas Monterey Cypress has been treasured in terms of its extensive canopy and coastal flexibility. The correct type depends on the climatic conditions, available area and the aim of planting in the landscape.
