My A6's automatic gearbox was slipping badly until I tried a Sharjah specialist

I've got a 2011 Audi A6 with the multitronic CVT that started slipping and jerking at low speeds, and a garage in Dubai told me straight up that it needed a full replacement for nearly 12k. I nearly cried because the car isn't even worth that much anymore. A coworker who drives an older A4 suggested I look into an Audi Automatic Gearbox Sharjah Repair shop because they often do partial rebuilds or valve body fixes for a fraction of the price. I found one with decent reviews, took the car there, and the guy diagnosed a worn steel belt in just an hour. He replaced the belt, cleaned the valve body, and did a full adaptation for 4,200 dirhams including a three-month warranty. That was two months ago and the gearbox has been flawless since. I'm so relieved I didn't scrap the car or pay for a full replacement. If you're in a similar spot, don't let the first quote scare you into giving up on your Audi. Just make sure you find someone who actually knows these CVTs.

A worn steel belt diagnosed in an hour after a Dubai garage quoted 12k for full replacement. That's the difference between a specialist and a shop that just upsells.

Multitronic CVTs have a bad reputation mainly because most shops don't understand them well enough to do partial repairs. Glad you found someone who actually could.

4,200 dirhams including warranty vs 12k replacement on a car that isn't even worth that. You literally saved the car from being scrapped over one proper diagnosis.

The steel belt and valve body are serviceable components if caught in time. A good CVT specialist knows this, a general garage usually doesn't bother finding out.

Three month warranty on a 4,200 dirham job is fair and shows the shop stands behind their work. Two months of flawless driving already speaks for itself honestly.
